I can see del.iciou.us as my Favourites in the computer tool bar, but with a big difference because del.iciu.us is able to store and being accessible from everywhere thanks it is an online resource, rather my Favourites which is limited to my computer.

In my discovery exercise I tried to register my username using the link PLCMCL2 and what a surprise somebody is using it! so I just added a one more number, however that give me an idea the how popular is del.icio.us
Second step I done was add a del.icio.us button short cut to my tool bar and also link it to RSS feeds so I’ll be able to get all the update stuff from my del.icio.us sites.
A bookmark for online pages is a really handy tool for people who want to save time and have easy access to their preferences in the world Wide Web.

So much to see so much to find the WWW! World Web Wide is growing like a monster and Technoraty is a way which attempt to classify and organize and make some accessible by labelling material.
So far I have done my account, then cut and paste html code to get my short cut button in my blog.
Then in my wonderings I drop the terms “ blog posts” and “blog directories in advance search bar.
The result of my searches links me to a page which at the top shows a current amount the blogs which include that term, and number of blogs to scroll down.
About the search term “blog post” the result offers related tags to restrict my search with specific subject, and the term “blog directories” redirect my search with different terms with similar meaning.

Playing around!

RSS
What a frustration! Attempt to understand the concept of RSS, finally I think I’m getting it. Sounds interesting for me being able to get selected and update stuff from a number of favourite’s website, without much effect. But unfortunately it doesn't work for me yet, as I have not time to play online around much, but for sure RSS must be very useful as I found the abbreviation and symbol practically in every website.

Image generators
Well play with images is fun, fun ,fun, maybe because I am more visual. It is for me a better way of communication. Images can be more powerful than thousand of words. In a library frame
ephemeral material is much more attractive whith this technology.

Wikis
Basically I understood it as an interactive online free encyclopaedia, able to be updated for authoritative people.
I use it a lot as a handy resource for any difficult concept on my way. Beside that I wasn’t really aware of the dimension of Wikis.
Duringthe Learning 2 exercises the whole concept of Wikis website became more clear for me, moreover after listened and saw the explanatory video.
It is an online resource for free, which make it a powerful online tool for communication for everyone. Wikis websites are like a forum or meeting rooms, accessible from anywhere. For instance emails are tool of communication one to one or one to many but Wikis moreover offer the possibility of many to many way of communication.

About the sandbox finaly I added my blog under the Australian blogs list. So far I did add a Favourite animals page a cute photo of Goldy my fish, also I edit a new page named "Favourite flowers", my apologies because it just got one image and a modest comment but I encourage to everybody to add something .

Hatch the egg is not an easy job!

Birds around the world: This is about Google Maps, which is an applications of Google. There is also a Google Earth application,it takes a bit of time to download but is terrific. Here it is possible to navigate over the world and see the roof of you house!

I got it idea from Flickr, what an amazing experience to play around because it is a flash map. Flash maps are the one allows to the user to wondering and zooming around. Unfortunately my post does not show the command because my blog layout is not big enough ( I will see if i can fit it in ), but if you do a double click in the screen you will be allowed to move it.

Slice of feather: I discovered it thanks to a little friendly bird.
There is a website www.slice.com , which does it kind of service.
Firstly; I did upload my photos, when it was finish the site give me a HTML code. Secondly; I did copy this code to the software Dreamweaver to make sure it works. Dreamweaver is software used to create websites like Word allows to created documents. Finally I did copy ant paste the HTML code into the post in my blog.

Are books in extinction? : Firstly I did use an animation software call Flash, which allows to design features, mixing photos, letters and more.
The fantastic stuff here are the special effects, in a frame time line. That’s means in certain period of time the animation is going to manifest effects such as blur or bright.
Secondly: The final work was inserting into Dreamweaver to convert animation into HTML code.
Thirdly: Upload the file into a server in this case I went to Netspace, because Flickr apparently doesn’t allows animations. Netscape allows the animation to be online, so it is possible posted it into a blog.
Fourthly: In Dreamweaver was necessary to change part of the code, just the location part. Then it is matter of cut and paste the code into the blog post.
Finnaly to see the effects please click on " link to this post" (link at the right corner).
Sound complicated YES! It is, but trying enough you will get the fun.
